Yesterday, Wednesday, I visited a new church plant in Salinas. This neighborhood is just a few miles from Atlantida. Atlantida is where fellow BWM missionary Barry Secrest just turned a church over to a Uruguayan pastor. Although close to Atlantida, it is still more than far enough away to warrant a new church. It was fun to interact with the children that came to the service. I helped them make a craft for Mother’s Day, this coming Sunday. I am still at the stage where being able to practice any Spanish is fun, especially with children. They are so honest and funny with their facial expressions.

Today, Thursday, we enjoyed a visit from fellow BWM missionaries, the Borrmanns. They stopped by the Parnells to visit us, and to have new windows put in their van at an auto body shop in Montevideo. They were not in an accident, but rather needed to convert a work van to an eleven passenger van for their family. It was great gleaning from their experiences from their first year in Uruguay. Scott gave me some great data on paperwork and finances.
Felicia really enjoyed the time playing their English speaking kids. As you can see we had a great Fall day with weather in the high sixties.
Tonight, I preached via translator at the Parnell’s church in Tres Cruces. Tres Cruces is where the main bus terminal is for all of Uruguay. It is a great location for a church.

Hey Guys,
We had a great time with you all yesterday!!! God is so gracious to give us such sweet fellowship, and friendships here in Uruguay. Our family certainly is thankful to have your family here…even though you’ll be hours away.
We’re praying that the Lord will keep you encouraged and strengthened as you house hunt. Keep waiting on Him, He’ll take care of your needs.
Love you guys,
Debbie

Glad you made it home to Colonia. We had a GREAT time with you as well. Thanks for your continuing help in this getting adjusted process.
We just looked at another apartment a bit ago. It was another one that was on a second story with stairs. The price was way right along with the location, but it was also way too small.
We have another appointment at 2:30. Thanks for keeping on praying.
Chau!
